ST1-2 teaching consists of a number of all day sessions each year, held at different trusts within the deanery. This includes simulation sessions in both obstetrics and laparoscopy; and the RoBUST course.

ST1 mandatory courses: 

• Basic practical skills - book via RCOG website 

• CTG training - at your local hospital 

• Obstetrics simulation course (eg PROMPT/ RoBUST) - organised locally/ regionally 

ST2 mandatory courses: 

• 3rd/4th degree perineal repair course 

  • Croydon course

  • Coventry course

  • Sheffield course

• Resilience course 

• Basic ultrasound course - organised regionally (Miss M Fayyaz, Royal Berkshire Hospital)
